How to Create Your Birthday Fundraiser

Setting up a fundraiser on Facebook only takes a few minutes.

Step 1: Start Your Fundraiser
Log in to Facebook and navigate to the Fundraisers section by searching for ‘Fundraisers’ in the Facebook search bar. Select the option to raise money for a nonprofit organization.

Step 2: Choose the Huron County Humane Society
Search for and select the Huron County Humane Society as the nonprofit you would like your fundraiser to support. Be sure you select our official Facebook page.

Step 3: Set Your Goal
Choose how much you would like to raise and when you would like your fundraiser to end. There is no goal too big or too small - every gift makes a difference!

Step 4: Tell Your Friends Why You’re Fundraising
Add a personal message about why helping animals is important to you. You can write your own or use one of our sample messages below.

Step 5: Create and Share Your Fundraiser
Once your fundraiser is live, invite your Facebook friends to participate and share it on your page. Don't be afraid to share it more than once! A reminder as your birthday gets closer can help more people see your fundraiser and participate.
